Korean e-Book market is getting warm

This Wednesday Samsung announced upgraded reader hub in Galaxy tab 8.9 LTE. This newly upgraded reader hub includes "Delight books", which is Samsung's e-book store. That means Samsung jumped into e-book market. Samsung has plan to embed newly upgraded readers hub to other tablet line, Galaxy 8.9 WiFi and Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Related to this news, NHN who is mother company of Naver (www.naver.com) and KT(www.kt.com) launched mobile e-book business and are competing to existing Korean massive online book stores, Kyobo (www.kyobo.co.kr) and Yes24(www.yes24.co.kr). 

Especially Korean government will start digital text book program from next year, 2012 to 2015 with US$2 billion fund. This program makes and offer to students that digital educational text books that includes reference book, dictionary, notebook and multimedia educational materials.
