Samsung Galaxy Note for AT&T 4G LTE

AT&T is going to roll out the Samsung Galaxy Note early 2012 with model name of SGH-I717. This SH-I717 will embed Qualcomm's snapdragon MSM8660. Here, there are some comments on this details from followers.

Why Samsung does not employ its own processor, Exynos? The secret comes from 3G capability even in LTE(4G) era. Even user wants to engage in the most advanced LTE(4G), the problem is the reality of poor coverage of LTE(4G) and also the voice calling is not working perfectly yet in LTE(4G) network, that means every LTE smartphones must have extra 3G baseband chipset in it. However unfortunately, there is no single chip modem to be capable this wide generation coverage from 3G to LTE(4G) except for Qualcomm's MDM9600. Without this MDM9600, the LTE capable smartphone must embed 3 chips of AP, 3G Baseband and LTE modem. Then you can ask how about this fantastic combination of Exynos+DMD9600? But foxy Qaulcomm let MDM9600 which has whole coverage from 2G, 3G and 4G(LTE) support 3G voice with only its Snapdragon AP... The game was over....
There looks no way to escape from Qualcomm's web until Qualcomm's next modem, MDM9615 in next year.
